DH II: A one day course that instructs and requires competence in rapid safe manipulations; the ability to solve more difficult marksmanship problems in terms of speed, accuracy, and distance; shooting accurately from various disadvantageous positions as well as exercises in reaction time, situational awareness, advanced use of cover, shooting from retention and while moving. DH III: DH III builds on the knowledge, skills, and midset learned in DH I and DH II. Topics covered include; strong hand only presentation, firing, reloading, malfunction clearing and reholstering; manipulation and marksmanship with blood-soaked hands; shooting with reduced visual acuity and extreme close quarters shooting with assailants both in front of and behind the shooter.
